Congratulations on your engagement!

This is such a beautiful and exciting chapter of your life. But we know, it can also feel a little overwhelming as you step into the world of wedding planning.

Therefore, we would like to offer you some tips and tricks on where to start your wedding planning journey.

Our first recommendation is to sit down with your partner and create a shared vision for your wedding. Here are 3 key conversations to have to get started:

1️⃣ Define the feeling – Talk about how you want your wedding to feel. Romantic and intimate? Big and festive? This will set the foundation for your vision. What did you like at weddings you already attended, and what didn´t you like? Exchange your ideas and preferences.

2️⃣ Choose season & location – Discuss what time of year feels most special to you both and explore possible locations. This will help you narrow down the “where” and “when.” It doesn´t yet have to be a specific date, but can also be a season. The season you enjoy most, the season you met, etc. Concerning the location, maybe there are specific hobbies and interests you have as a couple that could define a location? You both like sailing, then maybe a lakeside/boathouse location. You both enjoy wine tastings, then getting married at a vineyard could be an option.

3️⃣ Set a budget – Be honest about what you can and want to spend. A clear budget will guide your choices, from venues to guest list, and keep you aligned along the way.

Make a priority list what is the top three things that are most important to you, and put your money and efforts on these. Now you have a clearer vision and can also start a joint Pinterest board to get inspiration. Google locations, catering, music, and photographers/videographers, and start setting up meetings to get going. As a second step, you can think about the Wedding Attire, the exact menu, the flowers and decoration as well as Hair and Make-Up.

Take it step by step, enjoy the process, and most importantly, make it your dream wedding.

Happy planning!
